Mrs. Jones
Well she packs her daughter’s lunch box
And gets her on her way
And she brews her husband’s coffee
So he can start his day
Then she irons all the doilies
While she’s passing ‘way the time
Til her husband finally leaves
Then she breaks out the coconuts and lime
‘Cause now the house is all hers,
So she pulls down all the shades
Then she and all her house pets put on
Conga line parades
They’re tearing through the halls
And crawling up the walls
Her husband calls and calls
But he can’t get through
They’re raising up the roof,
And though I have no proof
I think she’s breaking laws of nature
Breaking them right in two.
SOLO
They’re tearing through the halls
And crawling up the walls
Her husband calls and calls
But he can’t get through
They’re raising up the roof,
And though I have no proof
I think she’s breaking laws of physics
Breaking them right in two.
But soon the day is over
And her people will return,
It’s sure they’ve had quite a blast,
Now their happy home is trashed!
She undresses all the kitties and unbuckles all the pups
Throws out all the bottles, makes sure all the cups are washed
They turn the place back upside-right, fix everything they’ve wrecked
Return the decor back to decorum because
Mrs. Jones is a woman of respect.
